Coconut Oil Uses and Benefits

Happy Saturday my loves! Let me introduce you to one of my biggest beauty allies; the coconut oil! We’re always looking for ways and new products to take care of ourselves and sometimes, we don’t need to spend a lot of money when we can use some homemade substitutes that fulfills the same needs. The coconut oil is an amazing tool to cherish our skin, hair and more. Believe, it has a lot of benefits!

For the hair: Coconut oil can protect the hair as it is naturally an antifungal agent, making it immediately in an ideal anti-dandruff treatment (both to remove and to prevent it.) You can use it in between two to four times per month to keep a long, healthy and radiant hair. It really works!

For the face: Have a routine in which we do a deep clean to our skin at least once a week is an essential key to staying healthy and without aging rapidly. Exfoliants containing coconut oil are an excellent choice for this!

If you want to moisturize your skin and the eyelashes at the same time while you remove the excess makeup, using coconut oil would be a perfect option. This product is actually ideal for removing any excess, even if it’s waterproof mascara.

If you notice that your lips are cracking and your skin is dry, don’t doubt on applying some coconut oil on them, you’ll keep them hydrated for a long time!

For the body: Even if it sounds hard to believe, coconut oil can help you reduce fat, especially abdominal. I highly suggest supplanting any type of cooking oil with coconut oil. Trust me,  your body will thank you! Plus, coconut il can help you reduce appetite.

Coconut oil also works as a great body moisturizer, it improves skin smoothness and lipid content. Many moisturizers we find on the market contains chemicals that moisturize and soften the skin but over the hours, the water evaporates and the skin returns to its dry condition. This doesn’t happen with coconut oil since it deeply moisturizes and helps to remove dead skin cells.

If you’re looking to lose weight or if by any chance you’re pregnant, don’t forget to take into consideration that you can get some stretch marks. But don’t worry! By applying coconut oil on them, you can reduce the marks drastically. It really worked for me!
