The Best Runways from Bridal Fashion Week 2018

Bridal Fashion Week 2018 has come and this season we saw a way modern version on some of our favorites designers. Capes are still going strong, but this season they’ve been upgraded from capelet to full-on princes’s cape. Off-the-shoulder dresses are still everywhere and ultra flattering, but designers put a new spin on sleeves for them. And ladylike mid-length dresses, detachable sleeves, tea-length ladylike frocks, and even shorts, these are the wedding-dress trends we love for 2018. Here are our 5 top runways:

Mark Zunino

Mark Zunino’s collection was a stunning mix of intricate, feminine details such as soft lace and belled sleeves, paired with more daring details like low backs. His collection featured 34 different bridal looks, each more stunning than the next. He closed the show with a stunning floral lace ball gown with full, floor-length bell sleeves.

Naeem Khan

The esteemed Naeem Khan’s Fall 2018 bridal collection encompasses sequins, halters, tulle, and feathers. He showed the most exquisite embroidery, luxe beading, and ornate details. His wedding dress embellishments span from colorful ribbon and lace embroidery to cascading ostrich feathers.

Elie Saab

For Fall 2018, designer Elie Saab dubs his latest collection of dresses “Theater of Light”, nine timeless gowns that capture the essential elegance of the contemporary bride. Using soft tulle, shimmering sequins, ethereal applique, delicate beading, and embroidery.

Marchesa

Marchesa’s newest line draws inspiration from the heritage of the storied design house. The heirloom details are combined with modern silhouettes and details including detachable overskirts, and hand-crafted corsages. The result is an ultra-romantic, timeless collection. Other standouts included a gorgeous ball gown with feminine bows and a classic fit-and-flare dress covered in ornate lace embroidery.

Monique Lhuillier

At the core of this season’s collection is delicate lace, flowing tulle and structured duchess satin. Feast your eyes on the sleek and tailored Yoko pantsuit. A classic, one-button tuxedo jacket teams up with crisp white pants for a modern, no-fuss take on traditional bridal wear. Lhuillier shows two more pieces of unexpected outerwear you’ll want for your own: A white leather motorcycle jacket completes a ruffled lace gown and a white eyelet jacket pairs with a matching fit-and-flare dress of the same material.
