Meet the inspiration behind my brand, Silk #bymvtrends

“If you can dream it, you can do it”

I’m extremely excited to open a little more and share with you guys more details about this project I just have started, my own line of silk scarf “Silk #bymvtrends”. But first of all, I really want to thank you all for the incredible support I have received from all of you, I never thought this project was going to be so amazing and successful just days away from the launching date.

So, why Silk Scarves? Well, since I was a child, I have always seen my grandma wearing Silk scarves and because of that, I think there’s no accessory in this world that can make you look as classy and fabulous as the Silk Scarf does, it gives a touch of pure elegance! However, everything really started on a trip to Italy a couple of years ago. I had as a personal mission to find some beautiful scarves because here in the States, they are very hard to find. And yes I did it! After some days, I found the most beautiful scarves I’ve seen in a long time.

When I was back to Miami, everyone would ask me about the scarf I was wearing, the silk material was so shiny and soft that people thought I got them from a high fashion brand like Hermes or Burberry, but the reality is that this beautiful scarf -that now one of them can be found as “Rome” in my collection, honoring the place that everything started-, was a handmade piece from some Italian artisans.

At that moment I realized I really wanted to make more awareness of an accessory that can be so glam and beautiful, so the silk scarves became my signature, I wore them a lot, A LOT! The more I wore them, the more questions I got about them. I started doing some research on how I can bring the pieces to the state and after tons of sleepless nights, I found these angels, the most amazing providers of Italian silk that not only gave me the chance of bringing the pieces to America, but also they made my dream come true by letting me design some of the pieces that now are part of my collection, VIAGGIO.

Trust me, it wasn’t easy, it was actually pretty hard. But my passion and my dedication to this project was so intense that I did everything to make it work, let’s also take into consideration that creating your own business is always a huge challenge, however, at this point, I couldn’t be any happier to share with you my story. Plus, I had the most amazing mentor of the world, my mom, with all the experience she has had in this industry, she gave me all the tips and pieces of advice to start my own brand and be successful.

The first collection it is called “Viaggio” which means “travel” in Italian. By now, you can probably realize why the name of the collection is written in Italian, at the end of the day, it makes reference to the roots of the brand. Also, every single piece of the collection is inspired in a different city of the world, from Beijing and New York, to Madrid and Caracas, all the designs have some elements that can be referred not only to the place but also to a culture, history, traditions, etc. The idea of this is having you to explore the world with us, to explore the culture and the most beautiful places of nations around the world, we want to take you on a journey with us. Let’s go on a #Viaggio.

For me this is just the beginning, I have too many plans and projects around Silk that I can’t wait to show you the rest. Thanks again for all the support I’ve got so far, you guys are THE BEST!
