NYFW Look 2: Camo Vibes

I’ll be honest, if you had told me five years ago that I would be wearing camo today, I’d tell you, you were absolutely crazy! And here I am today, wearing it myself. It just proves that you should always try it before you knock it. Lesson learned, again!

So yes, camouflage is back, people! This military-inspired print has seen a resurgence, gaining popularity with celebrities, high-end designers, fashion bloggers and it girls. Structured jackets, blouses, pants, jumpsuits, and even purses have been spotted in the pattern, making it clear that it’s still going to be everywhere this season!

I wore this trend during one of my afternoons off at New York Fashion Week, everyone had something to do with the jacket and its furry texture and colorful print. So I took the opportunity to shoot this urban, still stylish look in the metro station. It was a whole adventure and a bit intimidating doing this photos, but it was also the first time in my life I felt like a new yorker, lol!

The key to keep the camo look from feeling too busy is to keep the pattern to one item only, whether it’s an oversized winter coat as mine or a pair of funky sneakers, or even some cool camo jeans, try to keep only one piece as the protagonist. In my case, I like to pair the camo print with neutral colors like white, black, beige, camel, grey or even with some denim pieces. For some added street style, I added a cool backpack, the famous military boots, sunglasses, the beenie, and tons of attitude! As always, attitude plays an important role not only on our outfit, but also in the way that others will look at us. Trust me, it changes everything!

Thanks for reading babes!
